Mardi Gras Benefit
9th Annual IPA Mardi Gras
Saturday, April 13, 2013
Hokulani Ballroom, JW Marriott Ihilani, Ko Olina
6:00-11:00pm
IPA Mardi Gras, the school’s annual dinner and auction, is a gala evening to benefit programs and financial aid. The Mardi Gras name reflects the entertaining atmosphere, though the theme varies each year so there’s always something new. This year's theme is "Treasures of the Caribbean." Proceeds from Mardi Gras support programs and financial aid at IPA.
Each guest admission packet includes:
dinner and coupons for two complimentary beverages; a raffle ticket; packet of "funny money" (use at the "Casino" or exchange for additional raffle ticket).
During the evening, guests can enjoy:
cocktail hour with pupus in the silent auction room; live music and entertainment, silent auction with hundreds of unique and useful items; live auction with exciting hotel stays, celebrity items, and more; "casino" gaming (optional); and the opportunity to support IPA!
Entertainment:
 |
Attendees to this year's IPA Mardi Gras will be greeted by Greg and Junko MacDonald performing on steel drums. Then Nueva Vida with Ginai & Little Albert will get even the most reluctant up on their feet and on the dance floor! Get ready to bust out the boogie shoes or just sway to a slow dance with popular tunes from decades past to the present. Read more about the bands here.

Auctions:
 |
The silent and live auctions are the heart of the evening, raising funds to support the school. There’s something to interest everyone and items to fit every size pocketbook. Popular auction items every year are hand-crafted art pieces, class art projects, hotel stays, dining certificates, theatre tickets, and unique experiences. Check out a sampling of items in our SILENT and LIVE auctions at 2013's IPA Mardi Gras!

Want to help?
|
Lots of parent volunteers are busily at work in the months and weeks ahead of Mardi Gras planning, making arrangements, and decorating the ballroom & auction areas. When the work is done, though, everyone has a great time at the party they’ve created. Visit the Volunteer Opportunities list to see what you can do for Mardi Gras.
